Nothing Special

Tomato created this little poem about an infamous phrase the re-occurs often in King’s Quest 4.

KING’S QUEST 4’S
“NOTHING SPECIAL”
BY TOMATO

When you’re playing King’s Quest 4,
when your number of points is 54,
when you want to see something by the door…
You see nothing special.

There is nothing on the ground,
Doesn’t help you to look down,
When you want to look ALL around…
You see nothing special.

Prisoner in Lolotte’s cell,
There’s a wheel in the room, you can tell,
You look at it since you feel compelled…
You see nothing special.

You see something far away,
It looks like a house that is grey,
You want to look at it, the game will say…
You see nothing special.

Game, I know what I see.
That statue looked like a fountain to me!
I say, “Look at fountain.” you always read…
You see nothing special.

In the swamp, don’t become a frog.
You’ll be eaten by a monster looking sog.
Not on screen. Look for it. That dialog…
You see nothing special.

Lolotte’s kitchen, late at night.
Not the left, the cupboard on the right.
Look at dishes in left, about that site…
You see nothing special.

You can’t look north, south, east, or west.
Climbing is hard while wearing that dress.
Looking at grabby trees’ mouths isn’t best…
You see nothing special.

Rosella’s in Tamir, we all know.
Tamir is everywhere that is shown.
Look at Tamir. That reply? NO!
You see nothing special.
