Sierra Teddy Bears
Hello! I am Keshet, Kimmie’s rainbow-colored teddy bear. The teddy bear in my lap in the photo is Schatzy. Welcome to my section on Sierra Planet. It is dedicated to all the teddy bears found in various Sierra games. Below is a chart that I have compiled of Sierra teddies with the help of Sierra Planet visitors. Cutsie teddy bears (like me) should be celebrated, especially in Sierra games! sniff
This brown teddy bear with a blue bow can be found in the original Mixed-Up Mother Goose game. If you select a boy as your character, the introductory sequence depicts the boy’s room. It contains a teddy bear sitting on the floor in the lower righthand corner of the room. All the boys’ rooms are identical. The girls’ rooms have a doll instead of a teddy bear.
This brown teddy bear with a red collar can be found in the Mixed-Up Mother Goose Multimedia game. If you select a girl as your character, the introductory sequence depicts the girl’s room. It contains a portrait teddy bear on the wall. If you click on the teddy bear, it will blow a bubble. All the girls’ rooms are identical. The boys’ rooms have a portrait of a dog instead of a teddy bear.
This brown teddy bear with a red collar can be found in the Mixed-Up Mother Goose Deluxe game. It basically is like the Mixed-Up Mother Goose Multimedia teddy bear. It just looks a bit more updated graphically. It is only found in the girls’ rooms as a portrait on the wall. The teddy bear will blow bubbles using bubble gum if you click on it like the other game.
This reddish brown teddy bear can be found in the Laura Bow 1: The Colonel’s Bequest game. It is sitting on the floor in the lower righthand corner of Ethel Prune’s room. There are several of old toys in this room, including that teddy bear. It seems to have been discarded and forgotten. Sad When Laura looks at the teddy bear, it just has a generic description of the old toys in the room.
This brown teddy bear can be found in the Laura Bow 1: The Colonel’s Bequest game. It has been sitting on the floor of that old, worn-down playhouse for years! Sad Other old toys are next to it. Sometimes, Lillian plays with her dolls here, but never with the poor teddy! When Laura looks at the teddy bear, it just has a generic description of the old toys in the room.
This brown teddy bear can be found in the Laura Bow 2: The Dagger of Amon Ra game. When Laura looks at the teddy bear, it says that the bear’s name is PU II and is mummified. He has black button eyes that seem to follow her. He looks happy and cutsie, despite being under wraps for so long. His owner must have loved him. Too bad Laura didn’t think to rescue the teddy.
This brown teddy bear with a red nose can be found in the EcoQuest 1: The Search for Cetus game. Adam finds him discarded at the bottom of the ocean! Sad When Adam looks at him, he remarks that the cute cuddly teddy is about to disintegrate in the salt water. Who would throw their teddy bear into the sea?! Gasp! Adam can only bag him as garbage.
This dark brown teddy bear can be found in the EcoQuest 1: The Search for Cetus game. Adam finds him discarded at the bottom of the ocean in the coral! Sad When Adam looks at him, he remarks that teddy got lost on the way to the picnic. Wah! Adam can only bag him as garbage as he is disintegrating, too. No salvation for teddies in EcoQuest! How terrible!
This cutsie brown teddy bear can be found in the Phantasmagoria game. Adrienne finds him on top of a dresser in the nursery. As Adrienne picks him up, the unthinkable happens! The teddy’s cuddly round head rolls off its body, and hits the floor! Sad Adrienne puts the decapitated teddy back on top of the dresser. No effort is made in the game to repair the poor teddy! Boohoo!
This reddish brown teddy bear can be found in the Space Quest 6: Roger Wilco and the Time Rippers game. After Roger finds himself kidnapped and tied up by aliens, he can look at the teddy bear on the floor. It is a Teddy Schmuxpin, a popular children’s toy. If you weren’t a popular child, you didn’t get one. Poor Roger probably never got one, but how did the aliens get one?! Hrmph!
This tiny brown teddy bear belongs to the snotty, bratty Ima Pugh in the Pepper’s Adventures in Time game. After she kidnaps Pepper’s beloved dog Lockjaw and take him to her overly pink room, she sits on the bed with her teddy and sings about her selfishness. When she stops, she puts the teddy behind the dresser so Lockjaw can’t chew it up. Thank goodness!
This big teddy bear can be found in the Adventure of Willy Beamish game. Willy gave this teddy bear to his little sister Brianna for her third birthday. The teddy is her favorite toy and she calls him Mr. Ted. Mr. Ted sits on the floor of Brianna’s bedroom, wearing a big red top hat and a smile. Aw!
This brown teddy bear belongs to Dr. Krick’s baby girl Amanda in the Lighthouse: The Dark Being game. Interestingly, the teddy bear seen in the introductory movie sequence to the game, but not in the game itself. The teddy bear suddenly disappears at the beginning of the game. Where did it go? It is not on the floor or anywhere visible in the house.
This green teddy is one of four differently colored teddy bears in the Donald Duck’s Playground game. One of the places where Donald Duck can earn money to build the playground is at Sandy’s Toy Store, where he has to sort incoming toys onto the shelves where they belong. Among the toys are, of course, teddies! Donald has to be careful not to drop them.
This cute brown teddy bear belongs to the Woodruff in the Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff and the Schibble of Azimuth game. Woodruff was hugging his precious teddy when the evil BigWig barges in and totally pulverizes the poor teddy with a million gunshots! Sad All that is left is one eye button. Woodruff’s quest is a noble one, though. He plans to avenge his poor teddy’s death!
This small brown teddy bear is from the King’s Quest 7: The Princeless Bride game. It has a festive blue party hat and seems to be ready for the archduke’s birthday party. Valanice sees this teddy bear behind the display glass inside Ersatz’s Faux Shop in Falderal. Too bad she won’t buy it as a souvenir.
Now for an important message from Schatzy: Please take good care of all your teddy bears! They are cutsie and love you very much! Don’t abandon and neglect them, especially at the bottom of the sea where they get all lonely and waterlogged (most teddies shouldn’t be near water in the first place). And never, ever behead a teddy!
